Fresh controversy has erupted online following the Republican Party’s disappointing performance in the November 2026 US midterm elections, which saw Democrats secure major victories and gain control of both chambers of Congress.

The election results have generated widespread political discussions, with attention turning to President Donald Trump and the future of his administration.

However, a dramatic story circulating across social media has attracted particular attention, with claims that Trump became visibly upset following the election outcome, smashed items inside his office and subsequently collapsed.

The claims have been accompanied by dramatic images and videos allegedly showing the president receiving emergency medical attention and being assisted by security personnel.

Despite the widespread circulation of the material, there is currently no credible confirmation that Trump smashed objects in his office, collapsed or was rushed to hospital.

Fact-checking reports have also highlighted how AI-generated videos depicting Trump collapsing have been circulated online as though they were authentic recordings.

Meanwhile, Trump made a public appearance following the Republican losses, addressing reporters about the White House ballroom project rather than focusing extensively on the election results.

The development has renewed conversations about the political consequences of the midterm elections and the growing influence of AI-generated content in shaping public discussions.

For now, claims about Trump’s alleged medical emergency remain unsubstantiated, and no verified medical statement has confirmed the reported incident.
